Thank You

All the time! Mr JT
No words really can describe what you have done for the school. Without you, no overstatement at all, this school would not exist. Thanks for putting up with the political maneuvers by people trying to undermine your efforts. And for growing a tough skin to shrug off nay sayers.  And for digging deep into your pockets – all of them – to put this school together, You will get your reward. In the meantime, you have our undying gratitude. Thank you. Thank you very very much.

March 2011 to current Mrs Phuong
Phuong has been the pillar of strength for the school. She is the one who has had to spend hours in meetings, politicizing and opening doors with the various committees, government and provincial departments and police commissioners. She has truly had the difficult part of the operation. Our huge thanks go out to her for her patience and determination to get the school all legalized and licensed. Not an easy task. Let’s also not forget the other smaller tasks she has performed day in and day out. Checking lunches are made on time, overseeing payments and invoicing and the list goes on. Thank you Phuong.

February – August 2011 Hugh Hosman
A huge thank you to Mr Hugh for the hours and hours he put in to work on budgets for the school and the foundation. He wrote business plans, proposals, helped with the design of brochures, and in general typed his fingers to the bone. He collected information on a possible curriculum and negotiated with US educational institutions. And these are just some of the things he did for the school. We are totally grateful for all the effort he put in.

July 2011 to current Mr Emanuele
Even while on holiday we got your emails helping us to decide on the best possible solution for the school’s curriculum. Bringing a European perspective helped the team immensely to make the right decisions in terms of the way forward to an excellent education.

July 2011 to October 2011 Stefano Bonuccelli
Stefano brought great enthusiasm and passion to the school. The swimming program is his project. Getting the school’s kids water safe was his passion. He also spent hours working on school books and ensuring the curriculum was well covered with text books. Thanks Stefano. You did good.

July 2011 to current Keith Thibert
Our favorite Canadian. Keith spent hours working on the school’s menu ensuring the children would have nutritious and well-balanced diets. Food to keep the brain moving and the body having fun with sports. Thanks Keith. The kids love the food.

March 2011 to current Ms Anh
No thank you’s could possible be complete without thanking Ms Anh. She took on the additional job of administrator to the School when she was already 100% busy with New Horizon work. How she managed to fit it all in is hard to understand. But she did. And always with a smile and friendly willingness to help. Thanks Anh. You are wonderful.

July 2011 to current Ms Ngan
Ms Nghi joined as during a time everybody was tearing their hair out with pressure, too much work and worry about the permissions. She has been wonderfully helpful and was ready to take some of the pressure off Ms Anh. She’s been a welcome addition to the team to help out when it gets really busy. Thank you Ms Nghi.

June to November 2011 Christiaan Pieterse
Phoenix School will be sad to see the official photographer and video maker leave Vietnam. His great skills and patience combined well to ensure that the school would have an extensive images and video library. His work certainly contributed to this site’s fun bit and pieces. Thank you so much Mr Christiaan. We love you!

June 2011 ongoing Kyra Pieterse
Our designer from Yeah Can created for us an amazing logo, great website, super brochures, and now this amazing fundraising site. Oh and let’s not forget the school uniforms too and advice on how to introduce color to the school building so that it looks like a fun place to go to school to. We are happy that she will stay on as our designer even if she is going to be moving away from Vietnam. Thanks Kyra. We love our designs.
